My name is Oran Marvan. I'm married to Simona and together we have two children, Emma and Adam, and a dachshund named Noya. I love travelling, motorcycling and skiing. Also, I like to play tennis in my spare time.
I dreamt about being a veterinarian since I was a little child, which is why I've decided to study to become one. After university, I decided to specialize in emergencies and orthopaedics of pets. Later, I also specialized in birds and exotic animals. I attend many workshops, trainings and conferences. I love my job a lot: the variation is enourmous! It happens that at only one day I can be an internist, gynaecologist , orthopaedist , surgeon and radiologist for pets, birds and exotics.
Above all, I love to help animals, to communicate with their owners and being part of their emotions. I go to work with a smile every day :)

My name is Simona Marvan. Many of my family members are veterinarians, so I dreamt to become one too. I followed my dream and I graduated as a veterinarian in 2003. After graduation, I decided to continue studying and obtain my PhD. I have been drawn to behavioural, stress responses of animals and animal welfare the whole of my life.
Together with my husband Oran, I have two children and a dachshund named Noya. For now, I am a full time mother, but I am available by appointment for a behavioural consultation for your cat or dog. Also, I can be your helping hand with the training of your dog.
Furthermore, I am responsible for all the administration, accounting and public relations of the clinic. Last but not least: I like to run in my spare time and to ski during winter.

I am Belinda Bitter and I work as a veterinarian at Dierenkliniek het Zicht since October 2011.
I don`t have any pets at home at the time, but I grew up surrounded by cats and a dog. Ever since I was little I loved animals and I spent a lot of time on the children`s farm when I was little child. The first time I accompanied my parents to the local veterinarian with our cat, I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian too.
I have studied veterinary medicine at the University of Utrecht after finishing high school in Southern-Limburg. I specialized in small animals with an extra interest in exotic animals. I also find wildlife fascinating and therefor I conducted a research on the reproduction cycle of white rhinoceros` in a game park in South Africa during my studies.
In my spare time I like to play handbal, read a book or go out with friends. I also love to travel! Previous summer I traveled through Central America during 3 months with my boyfriend.
Being a veterinarian is never boring and always challenging. Working with both animals and people makes the work extra interesting.

Hello, my name is Ingrid van Lier. Back at my childhood, I knew I would become a Para-veterinary. You could always find me between the animals at the children's farm and I have been riding horses till I was 18. At home, we have had some cats, a dog, a rabbit and occasionally a horse in our backyard. I took animals home regularly.
After high school (MAVO), I studied at the Maaskant College in Maassluis (1 day of school, 4 days of working/internship). In 1994, I received my degree as a Para-veterinary. During the same year, my profession got licensed and a degree was legally required.
I'm
working at veterinary clinic "Het Zicht" since January 1994 and I
can still say that I have made my hobby into my work. During the
past years, I attended several refreshers to stay up to date
including trainings on
behaviour
,
fluid
therapy,
communication,
dietician
,
diseases
in rodents. Besides this, I have organised
several puppy
celebrations.
In addition I have three main passions: my children, partner and Mack (the new Welsh corgi at the clinic).

I am Sandy Groos-van Dijk, married to Johan and mother of 3 children. At home, we have 2 lovebirds and a Labrador cross (Schenna) aged 8 years who accompanies me at the clinic regularly.
After receiving my MAVO degree, I started with my training as an animal carer. For this study, I have had several internships at animal shops, asylums, animal rescue and at veterinary clinic "Het Zicht". During my training, I got the option to become a Para-veterinary. I took this chance and after a very busy year of 2 trainings at the same time (including the corresponding internships), I passed both of them.
I was offered a job at veterinary clinic "Het Zicht" directly after graduation and I still enjoy working here after 12 years. Over the years, I attended many refreshers to stay up to date. I'm working part-time and on Thursdays, my main activity is trimming cats. Also, I'm very interested in our ultrasound device and in the near future, I will certainly attend some extra training to specialise in ultrasound.

My name is Marieke Priester, I originate from Zeeland, but I live in Rijswijk now together with my friend Michael. We have two pretty Maine Coon cats named Daan and Ashika living at my parents.
After I graduated high school with a VWO degree, I decided to take the plunge and study at KATHO (Catholic Academy) in the South-West of Flanders. Here, I received my Bachelor degree in agricultural- and bio technology, with specialisation towards animal care. During my study, I have had several internships: at a research facility with seals and porpoises and at a veterinary clinic in Hulst which is also specialized in birds.
I've had my final internship at a game preserve in South Africa, where they tried to save endangered species such as the cheetahby breeding and providing information to the locals.
Just after my return to the Netherlands, I
applied for a job at veterinary clinic "Het Zicht". I am working
here as a Para-veterinary since August 2010.
